Kanye West will once again have a showdown on the sales charts, this time it's with the Axl Rose lead rock band Guns N Roses. Kanye's "808s & Heartbreak" and GNR's "Chinese Democracy"
both hit stores next week. Traditionally albums come out on Tuesdays,
but in an effort to take full advantage of the shopping season, Kanye is releasing his album on Monday, while GNR hopes to get the edge, releasing their album on Sunday.
With his new album coming, Kanye sat down with MTV
news where he discussed many things including how he thinks hip hop has
changed saying "it's so crazy hip hop used to be all about being
fearless, now it's all about being afraid. Hip hop used to be about
standing out, now it's all about fitting in". Kanye also discussed his influences, Pop Music and his single "Heartless."
