Kanye West Speaks Out About Bonnaroo Festival Performance

Kanye often uses his blog to vent and this is no exception. Kanye took to his blog to offer his opinion on why he ended up performing hours late at this years Bonnaroo festival earlier this month. At the time of the delay, the delayed performance was blamed on West's production issues with his high-tech stage set up and the fact that the act before him, Pearl Jam, went an hour late.

Now Kanye is saying what he thinks really happened. Saying that "this is the most offended I've ever been" Kanye detailed the situation. "They tried to give me a time slot where it was still light outside," he continues. "I have a f*cking light show dumb ass. It's not called 'Glow in the Dark' for no reason squid brains!" Kanye says they finally decided on a 3 a.m. start time but his crew wasn't allowed to set up until Pearl Jam finished and when he finally did go on the crowd had thrown bottles, soaked the stage and broke his video screen.

Kanye did seem upset and apologetic saying that he "didn't have the ability to give the performance I wanted to," adding, "Sometimes I go two, three days without sleep working on my performance. I have to ice my knees after every show and they hurt when I walk through the airport. Having an expensive stage cuts my payday in half. Call me what you want, but never say I didn't give my all."
