Kendrick Lamar BET Hip Hop Awards Takeover

Posted By on October 16, 2013

Kendrick Lamar definitely took over last nights 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards broadcast by snatching up five award trophies.

Lamar was nominated in 14 different categories and walked away with five of them including “Album of the Year.”

The full winners list of 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards has been revealed. Kendrick Lamar, who competed in 14 categories, was the biggest winner with five awards that include Album of the Year for his newest album “good kid, m.A.A.d city”. The Compton rapper then took home Sweet 16 and Best Collabo awards for “F**kin’ Problems”, his collaboration with A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and Drake. At the annual event, Lamar was also named Lyricist of the Year and MVP of the Year. (Ace Showbiz)

K.Dot also destroyed the TDE cypher session with his crew.

He killed “Control.” And Kendrick Lamar once again proved why he’s untouchable during his cypher at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Following his fellow TDE members SchoolBoy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and Isaiah Rashad, the Compton MC stepped to the mic and left a bloody path in his wake. He took subliminal shots at Drake (“Nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control’/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes”) and showed who’s boss (“Hold up, wait a minute, your career ain’t sh*t unless you got some Kendrick in it”).
