Posted By on December 16, 2013

TDE standout Kendrick Lamar has decided to give his take on his good friend J.Cole’s late response to K.Dot’s controversial “Control” verse last summer.

Kendrick didn’t have too much to say about the verse, but he did give his opinion on it.

“Yup, I definitely texted him. [laughs],” Lamar said when asked for his reaction to Cole’s response. “He was in character and he just did what he did best, played off words, man. Yup.” (Power 106 FM)

Cole decided to give his thoughts on the “Control” verse on the “TKO (Black Friday Remix).”

“Thought you was a down a** b*tch/ /’Til I found that sh*t a couple days ago /I was home alone, next thing I know /That long ass verse from a song called “Control” was on /The room got nearer, the tomb got clearer /That’s when I seen the sh*t playin’ on your phone /Girl, what is that? A ringtone? Sh*t, not you too /Man that hype done got you too” (“TKO (Black Friday Remix)“)
