Tim Westwood was recently in Miami for the Super Bowl and he, along with Miss Info, caught up with Lil Wayne and Birdman in between all the video shoots they have been attending. First up was Lil Wayne who discussed all the advanced music videos he has been shooting as he prepares for jail. "We don’t feel, we just go do it," Wayne says.
Birdman then talked about what is about to happen with Wayne going to jail. "Tuesday is a sad day for hip hop, its personal for us, for the fans its something else, but its a family situation for us. We ready for it, built for it, and we’re gonna just rock-n-roll, I’m just gonna stick with my son til he come home. as far as music we straight, we ain’t never trippin on that, but its personal now…we come from nothing to something, so its just back to basics."
Birdman went on to talk about the rest of Young Money and Cash Money holding it down while Weezy is serving time. "To me, everybody have stepped up. Everybody stepping up. Everybody know Junior gotta sit down for a minute but we here, we out ‘chea. We out here for us, its YM-CMB."
UPDATE
Lil Wayne's sentencing hearing where he was set to turn himself in and start serving his one-year jail term just ended and Weezy caught a break. According to multiple reports, Lil Wayne needs
to get surgery on a cracked tooth before he enters jail so the judge
ruled that his sentencing hearing will be delayed until March 2nd, as
you can see by Young Money president Mack Maine's twitter post below.
