According to a high ranking NBA official, Lil Wayne’s claim that he has been banned from all NBA Events is exaggerated.
In a recent report from TMZ, NBA Senior Director of Basketball Communications, Mark Broussard, says that the rapper’s claim that he has been banned from all NBA Events is not true and he further iterates that Wayne’s claim that he was forcibly removed from a Miami Heat – Los Angeles Laker game was not accurate. According to Broussard, Lil Wayne voluntarily left the game after being approached by staff.
It was last week that the Young Money CEO made headlines when he claimed that he was thrown out of the Heat game. He further exacerbated the matter by enticing a concert crowed at an NBA All-Star weekend event to shout obscenities toward the NBA, The Miami Heat and several of its players. The rapper went as far as saying that he had slept with the wife of Chris Bosh (The Heat’s All-Star Power Forward).
This is not the first negative encounter between Wayne and the NBA. It was last year during the playoffs that Wayne complained that the Oklahoma City Thunder denied him admittance to one of their home playoff games. Both, the NBA and the Thunder, adamantly deny the rapper’s claims on this instance as well.
