     There were reports going around yesterday that Lil Wayne will serve his time at Rikers Island under protective custody but it turns out that the rap superstar will be like any other inmate. Weezy's lawyer, Stacey Richman, first claimed that the rapper was forced into protective custody but a spokesman for the Correctional Department, cleared up those allegations, saying that the New Orleans-bred MC will have "general population escort" status...Meaning when Weezy is outside his housing unit, he will be accompanied by a correction captain; similar to how authorities handle gang members.

     When Lil Wayne is inside his housing unit, he has the option to socialize with the seventeen other men who share his cell block.
