Lil Wayne Gets More Time Before Trial

It looks like Lil Wayne caught another break as the judge in his upcoming copyright lawsuit has given him additional time by postponing the trial during a hearing yesterday (August 11th). The lawsuit that claims Lil Wayne failed to secure the rights to sample folk singer Karma-Ann Swanepoel's song "Once" for his "I Feel Like Dying" song will now take place on October 26th after U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman set the new date.

Universal Music Group, Lil Wayne's record label, also named as a defenant in the lawsuit because the company had a part in posting the song on Lil Wayne's MySpace account where million of fans downloaded it for free.
