It looks like Lil' Wayne's sixth studio album, Tha Carter III, will be dropping by the end of the year.
A Universal Records spokesperson confirmed to SOHH that Weezy's much anticipated project has been given a December 18 release date.
Weezy's coveted position, picked by industry insiders, follows a slew of hot guest appearances and mixtape verses over the past year, all which have increased public interest in Tha Carter III.
In related news, Wayne appeared at New York's Beacon Theatre last month for a "Lil' Wayne & Friends" concert. The show was punctuated by his arrest early the next morning on weapon possession charges.
Weezy was later released on a $70,000 bond. If convicted, he could be sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail.
Tha Carter III is expected to hit stores on December 18.
