Lil Wayne Explains DJ Comments – Listen To The Interview Here

Posted By on June 1, 2008

A few days ago an interview Lil Wayne did with Foundation magazine appeared online. In the audio clip, Wayne said “Fuck you if you a mixtape DJ,” he said. “I’m doing Lil’ Wayne. I’m
against [mixtapes], anti-mixtape dude. I don’t know no mixtape DJs.” Since the clip was posted, lots of DJs have been reacting by leaking parts if not all of Lil Waynes album, Tha Carter III.

On Friday, Lil Wayne called into DJ Drama's Shade 45 radio show to clear up the comments that he made against mixtape DJs. Wayne told Drama his words were only for a DJ from The Empire, who put out a series of Lil’ Wayne mixtapes called
Da Drought Is Over. The series has become just as popular as other official series Wayne has done Dedication with DJ Drama and Da
with DJ Khaled. Weezy has no problem given out his music for free, but
doesn't like all the DJs putting out mixtapes with his work without talking to him. “Even though it sounds hard, it’s the easiest way if you try to get a
hold of me to get clearance.”
