Lloyd Banks Released Back To The States

Things are looking up for Lloyd Banks, well kind of. The G-Unit rapper was released today (January 13th) by Canadian immigration officials after he was detained for 24 hours. Banks was on his way home after posting $50,000 bond (the others posted $25,000 each) when immigration officials snagged Lloyd Banks and one of his associates, Nicklas Sloane. They were remanded into immigration custody for unspecified issues.

As we previously reported, Banks was charged with assault and robbery charges after authorities say he (and three other people) assaulted the promoter of a performance by Banks at Club NV in Blandford, Ontario Canada. Police say that Lloyd and his boys got into the altercation with the promoter at a local hotel over the payment for the show. They say that Banks and the other three guys held him in his hotel room against the wall and beat him up before robbing him. All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery. The four made a video court appearance on Sunday afternoon (January 10) and are due to appear in court again early this week. They remained in police custody at press time.
