Former Murder Inc artist, singer Lloyd, recently talked about working on his upcoming "King of Hearts" album and when it will most likely hit stores.
"It's a growth process, it's been a few years since the last time I released my own music, so for me, it's pretty relieving," Lloyd said in an interview. "Just to know that all the hard work has paid off. For me, I think it's the perfect start for King of Hearts, which is my next album to be released, produced by Polow Da Don, recorded in Los Angeles and I just think people have never heard me sing like this before…I think it's clever, the fact that we're gonna release it in February, right around Valentine's Day, it just kinda worked out. Aside from Polow, there isn't much more on the album [production-wise]. I wanted to keep it consistent and I wanted to have continuity in the sound and I think when you bounce around and work with a lot of people, you kinda lose the complete thought and you end up with a bunch of sentence fragments. So with me working with just Polow, we all was focused, in the same direction, we all dedicated 110 percent of ourselves toward this project. And I think only then can you get the best quality sound."
