Mobb Deep Sues Ex-Manager For $1 Million Dollars

Posted By on July 11, 2008

Mobb Deep members Prodigy and Havoc, known to the government as Albert Johnson and Kejuan Muchita, have filed a lawsuit Tuesday against their former manager Norman Bell. The New York rappers say that Bell, known in the mixtape world as Purfek Storm, used songs for a "Best Of" type mixtape and they didn't give him permission to do so.

Seeking a trial by jury, Mobb Deep says that their ex-manager owes the group over one million dollars in royalties for the rights to the songs he used in mixtapes including Mobb Deep The Infamous Archives (2007), Mobb Deep The Mix Tape Before 9/11 (2004), and the Purfek Storm Mixtape series.
