Prodigy Gets Ready For Prison, G-Unit Throws Going Away Party
Mobb Deep MC, Prodigy, is getting ready to do a three-and-a-half-year jail sentence for a weapons conviction, and G-Unit is throwing him a going away party. The "All Star QB + G-Unit Tribute To Prodigy" party will be held next Wednesday (Feb. 6) at B.B. King's Blues Club & Grill in New York City. Prodigy will be performing his latest solo release, H.N.I.C. 2, in its entirety. Unnamed special guests are also scheduled to appear.
Prodigy was supposed to report to prison in January but was granted a five-week extension to get his medical records straight since he suffers from sickle cell disease. The rapper's all-ages sendoff show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.
