We reported on Wednesday that the Las Vegas police department were reportedly looking for Mos Def for allegedly attacking a photographer. Now the Vegas Police Department has released the details of the arrest warrant for the rapper slash actor. According to Officer Ramon Denby, two warrants were issued for Mos Def in regards to the incident in August.
Why it took so long to issue the warrants, the officer explained that is routine in investigations saying “We have to have a certain amount of evidence to present a case to the D.A.’s office, who then makes the determination to move forward. This was just a standard investigating time.”
In related news, Mos Def is currently working on a new album called "The Ecstatic" due in stores on February 9th of next year. The first single "Life In Marvelous Times" [listen here] was officially released yesterday. Mos also has been doing a lot of acting lately and will appear in the upcoming films "Cadillac Records," "Next Day Air" and most recently signed on to be adaption of Iceberg Slim's "Mama Black Widow" alongside Rihanna, Macy Gray and Anthony Anderson.
