| September 05/08 | Kanye West To Close VMAs & Announce New Album | 
| This years MTV Video Music Awards takes place live this Sunday at 9PM and now it's been confirmed that Kanye West will not only close out the huge show, but announce details about his upcoming album. As we reported yesterday [read here], rumors have been going around that Kanye's new single "Love LockDown" would hit iTunes this monday.
In related news, this year's MTV Video Music Awards will be opened by Britney Spears & feature performances from Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, T.I., Pink and Kid Rock plus appearances by Travis Barker, Jamie Foxx, Ciara, Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain and DJ AM.

| After weeks of youtube videos blasting eachother, the much talked about video game challenge between The Game and Bow Wow takes place tonight from 6-8pm a secret location. Bow Wow talked about the $100,000 game for charity saying "I can't wait to play! I've been waiting, Game’s been waiting, the video game world’s been waiting,” he told AHH. “The only bad thing is Game’s fans are gonna have to see him lose! I’ma play with the Bengals, Ohio all day, gotta represent for the state! Like Michael Buffer says -- let’s get ready to rumble!"
As reported by MTV news, The Game has a record of 171-30, making him the sixth-ranked player in the world. Game seems confident saying "Bow Wow has no idea what he’s started," continuing "He’s in way over his head….I will remain the undisputed Madden king."

| Last night at the BMI Urban Awards, the hook-king T-Pain took home the "Songwriter Of The Year along with "Producer Of The Year" awards (T-Pain shared the "Producer" award with J.R. Rotem and Kanye West). T-Pain, known for writing records like “Buy U a Drank,” “Low” with Flo Rida “Bartender,” “Kiss Kiss” with Chris Brown and the Grammy-winning song “Good Life” with Kanye, is an accomplished writer.
In related news, T-Pain's new album "Thr33 Ringz" is scheduled to hit stores this fall. Standing in his own confidence, T-Pain told sohh “I got the most number 1s,” he said. “I’m not just saying that. It’s really on the charts. I got 11 number ones [in one year]. In the history of time, The Beatles got 13. So if I woulda got two more in that year I woulda beat The Beatles. That’s why I’m the ringleader.”
