Last night MTV held it's 25th Video Music Awards in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios. After a much hyped Britney Spears opening, which turned out to be her simply reading a sentence off a teleprompter, the awards saw performances from Lil Wayne (who won Best Hip-Hop video for "Lollipop"), T-Pain, T.I., and Rihanna. Kanye West closed the show by performing a new song, "Love Lockdown," that hits iTunes on Monday.

Britney Spears did win "Best Female Video," "Best Pop Video," and "Video Of The Year" for "Piece Of Me." Chris Brown beat out T.I., Flo Rida, Usher and Ne-Yo for "Best Male Video" for his "Without You" video.
