Rock Band Starts to Sell Complete Albums

Posted By on April 18, 2008

MTV's Rock Band video game is already a smash hit in the video game world, but now it's taking over the music industry. The video game has already sold millions of individual song downloads in it's 5 month exsistence (8 million+ of only 140 tracks). Now the company plans to bring full album downloads to the video games' resume.

Judas Priest's 1982 album, Screaming For Vengence, that features the hit "You've Got Another Thing Comin," goes on sale April 22nd for XBox and April 24th for PS3. The Album will be $14.99 (1,200 Microsoft Points) or individual tracks for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points). Other artists whose albums will be sold for Rock Band include The Cars and The Pixies.

Rock Band's main rival, Activisions' Guitar Hero, is planning a collection of Aerosmith music that will be released sometime this June.
