Jay-Z isn't the only rapper who could be president of the legendary Def Jam Records. Nas recently talked about reports and rumors that he was offered a position as Def Jam Records president and even explained why he would consider taking the job. Nas thinks that Def Jam could make stronger moves for the hip hop game. "Yes and no," Nas said about being offered the presidency. "I don't know what's in store for the future. I'm happy to do whatever makes sense. I would love to add on and help hip-hop, I feel Def Jam is a great label for hip-hop music but I feel they could be doing a lot more for hip-hop, that's what it's about. Obviously people they have, have their own agendas and own direction and I respect that too. I think I can add on but I don't know, at this point and time, I'm just taking it day-by-day, I'm not getting too caught up into all of that." [Nas Considers Presidency Of Def Jam - Watch Here]

In related news, although he expressed his respect for Def Jam, KRS-One says that the label also killed the rap game. "Def Jam is the dopest label in hip-hop, in the culture of hip-hop," he said. "There really would be no hip-hop as we know it today if it wasn’t for Def Jam. But you don’t get that respect without also being the label that single-handedly destroyed hip-hop."
