As part of mtvU’s “Stand In” series, Nas and his father, jazz musician Olu Dara, surprised students at Morehouse College in Atlanta when they subbed as guest professors for the day for a class on improvisational jazz. The Nas class — in which father and son composed a new piece of music with the students — will air on February 1 at 1 p.m. on mtvU. The segment will also premiere online at www.mtvu.com the same day.
