Finally, after all the rumors spreading over the past few days, the Street’s Disciple himself – Nas – has tied the knot with fiancé Kelis over the weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to various published reports, the couple exchanged vows in a small ceremony with only family and friends in attendance including Nas‘ father Olu Dara and his brother Jungle, serving as best man.
The two have been inseparable for quite sometime and openly expressed their love for each other. Especially Nas, who even rapped about what he thought their wedding day would be like on the track “Getting Married,” which appears on his new double album, Street’s Disciple.
“I’m stayin’/I’m sayin’ vows all true/Will you take music as your wedded wife? I Do/Sike, this ain’t about music, y’all know who I’m talkin’ to/I’m getting married,” Nas says in the song.
The two have been engaged since 2002, when Nas proposed on Christmas Eve at her mother’s home. No further details about the wedding have been released.
