50 Cent Buys Mike Tysons House

50 Cent has estimated to have made somewhere around $18 million over the course of the year since the release of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Trying. Well with the purchase of his new home, he has definately got rich!
50 has purchased a mansion that once belonged to former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The property is 48,000 square feet and was was purchased for $4.1 million, according to town records.
The mansion was purchased from Tyson's ex-wife, Monica Turner Tyson and includes 52 rooms, servants' quarters and a boathouse. The boxer signed the house over to her for $1 in 2002 as part of a divorce settlement. Tyson purchased the house in 1996 for $2.7 million.
Local police told The Herald of New Britain they have taken note of his history. "He is a citizen and we are concerned for his safety as well as the safety of the public," said police Capt. James Rio. |
