Diddy Open To Video For 'I Get Money' Remix With Jay-Z And 50 Cent

Monday, 24 September 2007 |   Written by Jason   PDF Print E-mail Post a Comment
Sean "Diddy" Combs recently revealed that he was open to participate in a video for the "I Get Money" billionaire remix, which features fellow moguls Jay-Z and 50 Cent.

The single is the third release from 50 Cent's hit album Curtis, which recently landed on the shelves and moved over 650,000 copies the first week in stores.

"If it came down to a video, I would make sure the video is right," Sean "Diddy" Combs told AllHipHop.com. "The session was the way you can imagine it. It was a billion dollars in the building. It was a lot of power in there. You basically had the powerhouses of Hip-Hop all in one room and we had a ball."

The remix is a historic collaboration, as all three rappers landed on Forbes' Richest Rappers list for 2006.

Jay-Z landed at #1 by earning $34 million dollars in 2006, 50 Cent hit #2 by earning $32 million dollars and Combs landed the #3 position by earning $28 million dollars.

All three have also had previous beefs, which seem to have been buried.

"The beauty about it at the end of the day we all love to make music," Combs said of any past issues. "It wasn’t no real egos involved, we all played our positions."

Combs, who graced the cover of Forbes with Jerry Seinfeld over ten years ago, said that he has been an avid reader of Forbes, Fortune Magazine and The Robb Report, magazines that he has also been featured in.

"People say that sh*t and they making it up [in their rhymes] but I was on the cover of Forbes with Jerry Seinfeld ten years ago. So the world is just catching up," Combs said. "I’ve had my subscription since I’ve been nineteen years old with Forbes and Robb Report and Fortune Magazine. I stays on the lists.
To have that articulated in the most craziest pop sh*t way and then to have two of your counterparts [50 Cent and Jay-Z] critique your verse and give it the thumbs up? It isn't even fair."
