B.G. reunites with Mannie Fresh for new album

B.G. and Mannie Fresh have reunited to record "Move Around" and are scheduled to film the single's video in Atlanta and New Orleans.

The song, the lead single off Gizzle's The Heart Of The Streets Vol.2 (I Am What I Am), reunites B.G. with Hot Boy producer Mannie Fresh for the first time since they both left Cash Money Records.

For the video, directed by Gil Green, the two New Orleans natives will shoot in their hometown in addition to filming scenes in Atlanta. The rapper wanted to shoot the entire video in New Orleans but couldn't obtain a permit because the location he wanted to use was one of the city's most devastated areas.

Since Hurricane Katrina ravaged the N.O., B.G. has been living in Detroit while Mannie presently calls Houston home. B.G. is set to return to the city for a performance at the House of Blues January 14.

"Mannie Fresh created a certain sound for each Cash Money artist and even though I've worked with damn near everybody from Swizz Beatz to DJ Smurf, Fresh is Fresh," B.G. said in a statement. "We kept in contact over the years and after he left the label, it was on and popping. We hooked up immediately, recorded a bunch of tracks and 'Move Around' was the song we decided to use to let everyone know we're collaborating again. I've worked with Mannie Fresh since I was a kid and plan to continue to record with him in the future." While rumors persist that B.G. is now signed with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, The Heart will be released on his own Chopper City Records.

B.G. has already had a busy year. The rapper spent three days in jail earlier this month after being arrested for driving with a suspended license and outstanding parking tickets. B.G. is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 6.

The Heart Of The Streets Vol.2 is slated to hit stores March 21.
