The missing member of the Hot Boys, Turk, has now been allowed to withdraw a guilty plea in a second-degree murder charge for allegedly shooting a SWAT team member, Deputy Chris Harris, four times during a raid in Memphis, TN on January 26th, 2004. Turk orriginally entered an Alford plea (best-interest plea) which allows a defendant to dispute some of the allegations but has the same legal effect as a guilty plea. Judge J.C. Mclin said in a statement to The Commercial Appeal, a local news outlet, that he allowed Turk to withdraw his please because it was "not knowingly, voluntarily, and understandingly entered, and that the pleas were entered through a misunderstanding as to their effects."
