Awards, Movies & Solo Projects For D12

August 2, 2004, New York, NY - Multi-platinum selling D12 has seen a lot of success with their sophomore release of the #1 album D-12 World. The group was recently nominated for three (3) MTV "Video Music Awards": "Best Video of the Year," "Best Group Video," and "Best Rap Video." The group's video for their second single "How Come" remains a MTV "TRL Top 10" staple since its release and the album, in three months, has sold 3X platinum worldwide. D-12 World was largely propelled by the hilariously witty, hit single "My Band" and the underground banger "40 Oz." The group is also busy making movies. The group has two new feature films on the horizon: "Runyon Cash" named after the street that members of the group grew up on and "Devil's Night," a scary movie done only the way that D12 can bring it. Both movies are being produced by the group's manager's JGM's Jeremy Geffen and Max Gousse (Gousse produced the #1 Box Office Hit "You Got Served"). Both movies are scheduled to be released in 2005.

Solo projects are soon expected from Bizarre, who's yet untitled CD will release January 2005 and The Brigade, made up of Kon Artis and Kuniva, due for release early 2005 as well. Eminem, Bizarre, Proof, Kon Artis, Swift, and Kuniva make up the eclectic mix known as D12. In 2001 they dropped their first album titled Devil's Night which featured the cult classic "Purple Pills" which was later referred to as "Purple Hills" due to the suggestive content. That same edgy lyricism, instrumental and vocal meshing, and shock value that drove that album to high heights (4X platinum worldwide to be exact), can be witnessed on their latest effort, D-12 World.

D12 has just wrapped a nationwide tour and has appeared and/or performed on Jimmy Kimmel, Conan, The MTV Movie Awards, other MTV, BET, and Fuse programming. The group has plans to do an international tour in Europe in September and Australia and Japan in December.
