Rap musician Swift was jailed on a probation violation after missing a court hearing while he attended the funeral of his friend Proof, a fellow member of the Eminem-led hip-hop group D12.

Police in Novi found Swift, whose real name is Ondre Moore, on Thursday afternoon. District Court Judge Brian MacKenzie sentenced him to 93 days in jail for violating terms of his probation in a drunken driving case. Moore, 31, had tested positive for alcohol despite a condition of his probation that he remain free of alcohol or drugs, the judge said.

The judge issued a bench warrant for Moore's arrest after he failed to appear in court Wednesday. Moore served that day as an honorary pallbearer at the funeral of Proof, who was shot to death April 11 in Detroit.

Messages seeking comment were left Friday with a lawyer for Moore.
