Debbie Nelson, better known as Eminem's mom, is back in the news with yet another lawsuit, this time there's a spin, she's being sued. Neal Alpert and the Rachel Erin Corporation is suing Em's mom for breach of contract. The lawsuit says that Nelson signed contracts in 2005 agreeing to let Alpert be her exclusive agent for her new book "My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem’s Mother" for 25% of the gross profits. Alpert claims the rappers mother entered another agreement with a new agent in 2006, and the book has sold over 100,000 copies already overseas, yet Alpert nor the Rachel Erin Company hasn't recieved any profits.
In the book, Em's mom claims her son made his entire image up in order to sell records. “After his first album Infinite flopped, he reinvented himself as white trailer trash with a crazy welfare mom,“ Nelson writes in the book. “I was shocked when I first heard the lyrics - but he constantly reassured me it was all a big joke. I went along with it for Marshall's sake." The book is set to hit stores in the United States this week.
