Rapper Fabolous has set a March 27 release for his Desert Storm/Def Jam debut, "From Nothin' to Somethin'," which was originally expected before the end of 2006 and then this month. The first single is "Diamonds" featuring Young Jeezy; the album also features contributions from Ne-Yo and Timbaland on "Make Me Better" and producer Jazze Pha.

Fabolous was previously aligned with Elektra and Atlantic; he hasn't released a new studio album since "Real Talk" in 2004. That set debuted at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single "Breathe," which reached No. 2 on Hot Rap Tracks and No. 10 on the Hot 100.

It has sold 550,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Since then, he's turned up as a guest on albums from Jennifer Lopez, Syleena Johnson, Christina Milian and longtime mentor DJ Clue.
