It seems that fans hungry for new material from Foxy Brown will have to wait a little bit longer, as the release date for her latest set, Brooklyn's Don Diva, has been pushed back until next year.
The long-awaited album is now set to hit the streets on February 5, 2008 via her own imprint, Black Rose Entertainment on Koch Records. No reason has been given for the set's delay, though some speculate that the album is being released closer to the date in which Foxy, who is currently incarcerated, is rumored to be released to ensure better promotion.
Brooklyn Don Diva's lead single, "Lights Go Out," was recently serviced to radio outlets nationwide and has received an increasing number of spins in the last several weeks. Fans can hear the new single as well as other tracks from the upcoming disc on the rapper's website, FreeFoxyBrown.com, a site the rapper set up to keep in touch with fans while in prison.
In related news, Foxy's manager, Chaz Williams, who has been representing the rapper for the past year, will be spotlighted on an upcoming episode of BET's documentary series "American Gangster
