It all started when Deshawn Stevenson of the Washington Wizards recently called LeBron James "overrated." LeBron replied by telling the media that if he replied to Stevenson, it would be like "Jay-Z responding to Soulja Boy." The two NBA players went back and forth during the first three games of their playoff series. LeBron James and the Clevland Cavaleirs defeated Stevenson and the Wizards in games 1 and 2. Stevenson invited Soulja Boy to game 3, and took the game for his Wizards. Now heading into game 4, LeBron brought in reinforcements.
The Washington Post is reporting that Jay-Z recorded a track for James and he debuted it at a party for his teamates at club Love Friday night. Stevenson heard about the party and Jay-Z's track and said “When I had Soulja Boy here, it was on the court. It was nothing disrespecting him or his family or even foul language,” he told the newspaper. “So I’m boycotting Love. Everybody on our team, we’re boycotting Love…. We’re not going no more. But I appreciate Jay-Z for giving me the shout out.”
