Jermaine Dupree Says The DJ Is Dead

Jermaine Dupree, better known as JD, has recently made comments about the state of the music business dealing with DJs. JD says that times have changed. Artists or music executives would make a track and promote it, then pass it to a DJ who would take it and continue to continue to promote it. Now, JD says, DJ’s are going in the opposite direction. Instead of taking your track and promoting it, they instead are trying to give you a track or a CD. The entire energy and attention level has changed. What do you think?
