Kanye Sued Over Copyright Infringement
Wednesday, 26 March 2008 Written by Jason    PDF Print E-mail
TMZ is reporting that a Maryland songwriter-producer is suing Kanye West for allegedly stealing  his tune for Kanye's hit "Good Life." In the lawsuit filed in Marland District Court, Dayna Staggs (also known as D'Mystro) names Kanye West and Roc-A-Fella records for copyright infringement, claiming they didn't obtain a license to use his song "Volume Of Good Life." D'Mystro said he also said Kanye's version of the song "contains vulgar and offensive" images and "harms the reputation" of his much cleaner original, which he claims was written when Kanye was only six or seven years old. The 'only popular for suing Kanye West guy', is asking for 85% of all world sales from the music.
