Lil' Kim caused a stir in New York's Westside yesterday (August 30) when she was stopped by police for driving a Lamborghini without license plates.

According to the New York Post, Kim (born Kimberley Jones) was pulled over by police around 6 p.m. on Thursday as she was entering a gas station. Authorities would also discover the Brooklyn bred rapper did not have her drivers license with her.

The Lamborghini reportedly had a temporary out-of-state registration and Kim's lawyer, Bernie Jackson, came and drove the rapper and the vehicle away. During the stop, Kim interacted with fans and signed autographs.

It was not revealed whether Kim was issued a ticket for not having plates or a driver's license with her.

In a similar instance last year 50 Cent was also stopped by NYPD officers and arrested for driving his lamborghini for driving erratically. After being stopped, cops issued him four traffic tickets for making unsafe lane change, having no plates, driving without insurance and having an expired license.

As SOHH previously reported, Lil' Kim is currently working on a book titled The Price of Loyalty which will be released later this year by publishing giant St. Martin's Press.
