Lil Wayne To Star In New Movie With Forrest Whitaker Based On A True Story

Lil Wayne is constantly making moves in his career. Recently he signed on to co-star in a new major motion picture starring Forest Whitaker, called 'The Patriots'. The movie is about a basketball team that was made up of players from five different high schools before Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans. Lil Wayne will play a character named "Lamont," who is a student of Al Collins High School. "Lamont" is skeptical of the newly formed team.
Forest Whitaker, who is currently staring in 'Street Kings' with TheGame & Common, will play the coach of the team who is trying to lead them to a state championship. The movie is loosely based on a true story and was written by Robert Eisele who wrote 'The Great Debaters' which starred Denzel Washington. Tim Story, director of 'Fantastic Four' and 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer', will direct the flim which is due in theaters around Thanksgiving.
Lil Wayne is currently on top of the music world with his single “Lollipop” currently #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart and on MTV’s 'TRL'.
