MTV's holds its "Mixtape Monday" weekly to highlight that weeks mixtapes and news currently going on that world of mixtapes and underground affairs. Being the end of the year, the staff of their “Mixtape Monday” section has decided to giveaway awards for 2007 and guess who won not only “Mixtape Of The Year” (Da Drought 3) and “Mixtape Artist Of The Year”? That’s right… The one and only Lil Wayne. As they stated in a year where the music industry tried to come down on the mixtape world, “Weezy delivered to the Net a flood even Moses would have had a hard time navigating. Every week (at times, it seemed, every day) the Cash Money star had a new, buzzworthy mixtape being pumped out of computer speakers.”
