October 20, 2006 – BET’s RAP CITY will celebrate the careers of some of hip-hop’s greatest members by honoring them through interviews, flashbacks and classic videos. RAP CITY celebrity hosts Ludacris and Hip-Hop Mogul Diddy temporary holds it down for current host-Mad Linx and DJ Q-45 as they will touch base with artists who have revolutionized the rap game – those who took it from the East and those who brought it back from the West – along with those who put the dirty in dirty south. RAP CITY will take a reminiscent look back at the contributions MCs have made to today’s rap music, as well as the equal contributions rap music has made to the world. RAP CITY programming throughout these two months will bring light to how these often times, complexed, multitalented rappers help America and the world-at-large identify with the everyday struggles faced by urban youth.
