Def Jam is now not so sure about Nas and his new album, N*gger. Antonio "L.A." Reid, the chairman of Island Def Jam, had previously backed the album fully but in a recent interview he seems unsure. When he was asked if the album will be released with the n-word title, he replied "We'll Have To See". Ried went on to say the album will be coming out sometime this Spring, "Hopefully we'll get it in April or May," he said. "Something like that, somewhere around there. It's getting there, we're getting close."
He went on to say "expect Nas to educate us without preaching to us," "expect him to give a point of view that maybe the world hasn't thought about. Expect him to really enlighten us."
