A spokesperson for P Diddy says the rapper is "sorry" he couldn't perform at the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia.
P Diddy had been advertised to appear alongside other performers like Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5, Def Leppard and Kaiser Chiefs.
But, a rep for P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, told the New York Daily News, "He totally supports the mission of Live 8 and is sorry he couldn't attend."
According to the Daily News a light plane flew overhead in Philadelphia during the concert which read, "Sean Combs...salutes Philly."
The paper reports that Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter were spotted on Saturday afternoon in Starbucks in the upmarket holiday resort of East Hampton outside New York.
