P Diddy Wins First Round In Assault Case

P. Diddy is set to stand trial in May for allegedly assualting a man outside of an Oscar party last February. The alleged victim, Gerard Rechnitzer, claims that P. Diddy assualted him in a parking lot at the Rossevelt Hotel saying Diddy replied to him questioning Diddy for talking to his fiancee by saying "what the f**k you looking at dude? I’ll smack flames out of you’re a**!" followed by punching him in the face without warning. The Associated Press is now reporting that Diddy won the first round in court yesterday (2/27) when a Superior Court Judge ruled that Diddy did not have to turn over fianancial information to Rechnitzer's lawyers until the trial started. Diddy's lawyers have a video tape from the hotel security team, which they say proves Rechnitzer made the first move, but the judge declined to view the tape due to poor quality of the footage.
