Defense Fires Back At Prosecutions Key Witness

As we reported yesterday, the star witness for the prosecution in the R.Kelly case testified yesterday. The woman claimed to have multiple three-way sexual encounters with Kelly and the alleged victim. Defense lawyers fired back in cross-examination accusing the woman of extortion.
Van Allen testified that Kelly offered her $250,000 to recover the tape of one of their sexual encounters. She said one of her friends took the tape to Chicago to meet with Kellys associate where they were paid $20,000 in cash. The defense accused Van Allen and her fiance of trying to extort money from Kelly.
