Key Witness Against R. Kelly Testifies

Lisa Van Allen, the key witness for the prosecution in the case against R Kelly, took the stand today and told the jury that she engaged in three-way sex with Kelly and the alleged 13-year-old girl on the video tape at least three times, including once on Kellys basketball court. Van Allen says she met R. Kelly when she was 17 and had sex with him which he videotaped. She says she moved from Georgia to Chicago to be closer to Kelly where she spent most of her time with him and he would pay her hotel bills.
Van Allen says she met the alleged victim when the girl was only 16. "He had a stand, and he set it up ... and directed it toward where we were," she said of the videos the three made . "[He] told us where to sit and basically what to do." Van Allen went on to say "He took up his camera and we took off our clothes and we all had sex again." She said on this occation she started crying and Kelly stopped, "I didn't want to do it," she testified in court.
Van Allen did admit she stole a Rolex watch from Kelly in 2001. In exchange for her testimony, she is immune from state and federal charges for child porn. When asked why she testified she said "It's the right thing to do."
