R. Kelly did not show up for a court hearing today in Chicago, so a bench warrant has been requested for the R&B singer.

R. Kelly's tour bus was delayed in Utah, which caused him to miss the hearing. According to the Chicago Sun Times, The bus was delayed because it was stopped by Utah State Police. The warrant was requested, but has not yet been issued. If he fails to show tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM, he'll be a wanted man.

Cook County prosecutors noted the judge had already shown considerable leeway in letting Kelly travel outside Illinois. Kelly has to obtain permission for each trip. "This is just an abuse of the process. It's disrespectful of your honor," said Assistant State's Attorney Shauna Bolicker.

Kelly's lawyer said singer was "detained because of some snow." The judge said a trial date will be set on Thursday.
