New York, NY, August 6, 2003: The deadline for submissions to The Heineken Music Initiative/The ASCAP Foundation R&B Grant program has been extended to Friday, August 29, 2003. Apply today for the chance to be awarded a $3,000 grant.
We are looking for hot R&B songs from songwriters living in the Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C./Baltimore areas.
To apply for the Heineken Music Initiative/The ASCAP Foundation R&B Grant, entrants must be members of ASCAP and 21 years of age or older. All applications must be postmarked by Friday, August 29, 2003.
Application materials and eligibility information, along with audio clips featuring last year’s recipients and their music, are available at www.ascapfoundation.org.

The Heineken Music Initiative/The ASCAP Foundation R&B Grant program is designed to assist up-and-coming R&B songwriters further their careers, in line with The ASCAP Foundation's longstanding commitment to developing new musical talent and The Heineken Music Initiative’s efforts to support performing arts.
