The rumored split between Bow Wow and Ciara has been officially confirmed.
In a statement issued today (April 10), Ciara's spokesperson, Tracy Nguyen of 5W Public Relations stated: "I cannot comment on the reason, but can confirm that Ciara and Bow Wow have split."
Rumors of the couple breaking up began after reports surfaced that Bow Wow had been spotted with another girl.
Various media outlets claimed that a Ciara representative said the couple had split for "a while" and that it was "amicable." Nguyen claims that the quote is incorrect.
The two teen celebrities had been dating for a year and collaborated on the song "Like You," off Bow Wow's album Wanted which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Bow Wow's camp has yet to release a statement.
