Details of the fatal crash are not fully available, but SOHH.com has been told that Justo was travelling in the Virginia area when he was involved in a two car crash.

Justo Faison got an early start in the music industry while studying Telecommunications and Radio Broadcasting and working the radio station at Auburn, New York's Cayuga Community College. From there, he catapulted into the majors as Atlantic's National Director of Marketing and Promotions, where he claims he created the first street team back in 1995, worked on projects from Junior M.A.F.I.A., Lil' Kim and Aaliyah and started the Mixtape Awards.

"I was the first person to approach the mixtape guys to break my records cause I knew how strong they was in the street," Faison explained to SOHH.com in an interview just days ago. "So when I got to Atlantic when there was budgets, I finally got to pay them back. I did that with the Mixtape Awards."

Justo's Mixtape Awards celebrated its 10th anniversary this year.
