Plies plans to drop his second album, Definition of Real on June 10th, just 10 months after his first release. "To be able to turn around two albums in a ten month frame, first and foremost I do understand how much of a blessing it is to have such success on The Real Testament," he says. "To have a certified gold album in this climate definitely speaks volumes." A key to success he says is keeping costs down, "I always like to keep my overhead low," he says "I don't want to be in a situation where I'm spending $2 million on a project." Plies won't be going after beats from big name producers, rather he relies on his brother's company, The World Music Group. "We got a lot of good producers under our umbrella," he says. Plies won't have a guest heavy album either, he even doesn't have an other rappers on the new album, "I kept it simple," he says. "It's all me on this album but I was able to work with a Ne-Yo who gave me that good radio side, that radio look." His first album was extremely helped by the radio success of "Shawty", which topped the US hip-hop charts and sold over 1 million ringtones. Plies isn't stopping there, he has a female clothing line and reality dating show in the works, both based on his two-part single, "Bust It Baby." "The definition of a 'Bust It Baby' for me is the best female sexual experience," Plies said. The casting call for "Bust It Baby" racked up over 200,000 views on YouTube which created a bidding war between 3 major TV networks plus the "Bust It Baby" clothing comprised of "sexy" items like short shorts and spandex is 95% completed.
