Remy Ma surrenders; Charged with attempted Murder

Rap star Remy Ma reported to police earlier today (July 14) and has officially been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The rapper was sought for an early morning shooting in front of The Pizza Bar in Manhattan around 4:00 am this morning, that left a 23-year-old associate with gunshot wounds to the torso.
Details are still emerging, but police said Remy Ma became involved in a dispute with childhood friend Makeda Barnes- Joseph, over $2000.
An argument ensued and according to reports, Martin exited her Blue Cadillac Escalade, opened the driver's side door of Barnes-Joseph's Maxima and shot her twice in the torso.
Remy Ma then fled the scene and crashed the Escalade a block away. She
fled on foot along with several unidentified males, who were
apprehended and questioned earlier.
Barnes-Joseph was taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital and is in stable condition.
The Pizza Bar's owner said that surveillance cameras captured the
entourage in the bar during the evening and that police were reviewing
the footage seeking additional details.
Representatives for Remy Ma did not return comment at press time.
