Sony BMG is the latest record company to make some major staff changes, this time it’s replacing their CEO. The legendary Clive Davis was replaced by Barry Weiss to run the company which includes the labels RCA, Jive, J-Records, LaFace, Arista, Volcano, Verity, GospoCentric and Fo Yo Soul. Weiss was prexy-CEO of the Zomba Label Group since it started 4 years ago, and will continue to oversee Zomba as part of the BMG label group in his new spot.
Clive Davis was moved to a position where he will exclusively work with major artists, receiving the title of Chief Creative Officer. Clive Davis is a staple in the music industry, responsible for many major artists in the past and most recently the British artist Leona Lewis.
