Monterey Residents Scared For Snoop Dogg Show

Snoop Dogg seems to get bad news wherever he goes lately. First the UK tried to ban him for a third time and now his appearance at the 2nd Annual Monterey Music Summit is causing officials and residents to get upset. The Monterey County Board reached an agreement yesterday with the promoters of the event to give them a permit for the performance, only if they have lots of security.
The permit calls for metal detectors at the front entrance and undercover county sheriffs to be at the event. They have banned all firearms at the event except for on-duty officials and Snoop Dogg will have to undergo exra searches of himself, his entourage and vehicles.
The three-day festival takes place on May 30th at Laguna Seca and aims to promote peace and eco-friendsly behavior. The Crystal Method, Ozomatli, Taking Back Sunday, Ky-Mani Marley and more will also perform at the event.
